The Orange Hub

Due to the suspension of Council Committee meetings resulting from the City’s response to COVID-19, the Professional Artist Program, including applications for eligibility for Profession Artist’s Rate Program, is suspended until Council approval is secured.

Application forms will be accepted once approval is secured.

The Professional Artists’ Eligibility designation is designed to make art space in The Orange Hub more accessible for professional artists and arts organizations. Located on the west end of the city, The Orange Hub is a centre for non-profit groups that offer programs and services in the arts, recreation, wellness, and learning. The building is owned and operated by the City of Edmonton.

In collaboration with Arts Habitat Edmonton and FAVA, City Administration has established an artist subsidy program that was passed by the Community and Public Services Committee on July 10th, 2019. The intent is to make a collection of arts-built space in The Orange Hub accessible for professional artists and arts organizations that meet the eligibility criteria. These spaces include dance space, recording and photography studios, along with classrooms and multi-purpose studio for visual artists.
