Exhibition Recap: Tales of Orquevaux

On Friday, February 6, 2026, friends, family, and followers gathered in the Bowladrome Gallery at ArtsHub Creative Studios to celebrate the opening night of Tales of Orquevaux, a special one-weekend exhibition by Alberta artists Josh Harnack and Jean Parker.

The exhibition showcased work inspired by the artists’ time at the renowned Château d’Orquevaux artist residency in France, where the two first met while creating alongside an international community of artists. The experience left a lasting impression on both painters, shaping a body of work that reflects the landscapes, atmosphere, and creative energy of the residency.

Visitors to the gallery enjoyed an evening of lively conversation and storytelling as Harnack and Parker shared pieces created during—or inspired by—their time in France. The show offered a glimpse into how travel, place, and artistic exchange can spark new directions in an artist’s practice.

The exhibition ran from February 6–8, transforming the Bowladrome Gallery into a space where local audiences could experience art shaped by international inspiration and creative connection.
