April Studio Spotlight
This month’s Studio Spotlight shines a light on the shared Project Studio of artists Callum Beckford, Nicholas Hertz, Ken Khoo and Amy Leigh, who are debuting Latitude53’s experimental program, Artist Civil Service, that supports four Edmonton-based visual artists to work part-time in civil service roles and part-time on their artistic practices over a four-month period. Organized by Latitude53 and artist Zachary Ayotte, this project explores alternative funding models for artists while simultaneously investing in the civic infrastructure that sustains communities.
An exhibition, publication and panel discussion to take place May 1 to June 27, 2026. To stay informed about the event follow @latitude_53 on Instagram.
