Space Needs Assessment

Arts Habitat is looking to partner with small, non-profit arts organizations that are interested in reviewing their current and future needs for space but may not have the capacity to complete this internally.

During this pilot project, organizations will meet one-on-one with Arts Habitat to create a space needs assessment study.

Together, Arts Habitat and non-profit arts partners will review their organization’s:

  • History
  • Vision and mission
  • Current operations, including:
    • Facility
    • Staff/volunteers
    • Programming
    • Finances
  • Ongoing and historical challenges
  • Audience and performer demographics
  • Comparable spaces
  • Future operational vision
  • Future facility needs
  • Future risks and threats

This project aims to produce a report that the arts organization may use to guide their future plans. The Space Needs Assessment document may be useful as an exercise in understanding current operations and in planning for new, more appropriate space.

Please answer the following questions if you believe your organization may benefit from taking part in this project. Submission does not guarantee entry into this pilot project. We thank all for their interest in the space needs assessment program. If your organization is selected, Arts Habitat will reach out to you for further information.
