Literary Office Space for Lease
Arts Habitat invites you to apply to be a part of McLuhan House.
Arts Habitat has an affordably priced office for lease to a professional literary artist or literary organization that wishes to join the McLuhan House arts hub and be a part of this shared office experience.
The 1912 historic residence of Marshall McLuhan is located at 11342 64 Street in the beautiful Highlands neighbourhood. Arts Habitat Edmonton purchased McLuhan House with the assistance of the City of Edmonton and the Social Enterprise Fund, embracing the opportunity to honour McLuhan’s legacy in Edmonton by re-purposing the property from a private residence into a contemplative centre for literary arts and ideas. Marshall McLuhan was a celebrated Canadian thinker famous for coining many phrases, including the “medium is the message” and “global village.”
McLuhan House has been home to the Edmonton Poetry Festival since 2011 and most recently joined by Youthwrite.
The lockable 126 sq. ft. private office has 24/7 access with a bright window with plenty of space to make it your own. Included in your lease is access to and shared use of the kitchen, washrooms, and main dining and living rooms of the house. The lease of $300/month also includes utilities and fibre internet shared with other tenants.
If you’d like to become a part of McLuhan House, please fill in the application.
