General Conditions for Professional Artists’ Eligibility

1. I am in good standing with the City of Edmonton

By checking this box, I am indicating that I am in good standing with the City of Edmonton.

2. Collaboration

It is the goal of The Orange Hub to create a collaborative art space. Please describe how you would see your involvement, if any, through a creative arts-related activity, program(s) and/or projects.

3. Artists must be Edmonton-based or conduct the majority of their work in Edmonton.*

6. Space Discounts*

I understand The Orange Hub Professional Artist Rate is for qualifying professional artists and apply to standard not-for-profit rental and lease rates only. I further understand the discount cannot be combined with other rental and/or lease rate discounts.

Supporting Criteria

Professional artists must meet a minimum of one of these criteria.

Presentation – Has presented their work to the public by means of exhibitions, publications, performances, readings, screenings, digital media channels, or by any other means appropriate to the nature of their work.

Promotion – Devotes a reasonable proportion of their professional time as an artist to promoting or marketing their work, including but not limited to, presenting themselves for auditions, seeking sponsorship, agent or engagements, or similar activities appropriate to the nature of their work

Association – Has membership in a professional association appropriate to their artistic activity whose membership or categories of membership are limited under standards established by the association; or which is a trade union or its equivalent appropriate to their artistic ability.
